An Evening of Technology 

Part-Time Instructors, join the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for An Evening of Technology.

This event will provide technology expertise and creative solutions that will help you deliver a robust teaching and learning experience for GSU students. Get an up close and personal look at innovation solutions, multimedia resources, grading tools and learn about resources that you can integrate into your teaching.

The evening will also include a Technology Fair, with light refreshments. The Technology Fair will showcase technology resources and offer part-time instructors assistance with university technology services.

Technology Information Session One
6:40 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. 

Spend the evening learning new solutions and gaining new tools with hands-on workshops on topics. Choose from:

  • iCollege: Login, post a syllabus, post an announcement, view classlist, send an email, and post lecture notes
  • iCollege: Set up a weighted grade book 
  • iCollege: Create learning modules, create HTML content and upload PowerPoint, Word, and PDF files
  • iCollege: Using Webex for office hours and online lectures
  • iCollege: Adding media to your course (e.g. instructor videos and screen captures) using Kaltura 
  • iCollege: Setup a quiz using multiple choice questions
  • Recording Lectures using Kaltura CaptureSpace 
  • Creating a website using sites.gsu.edu
  • Classroom Technology- Using Ink2Go and Hovercams

  • Classroom Technology- Using Ink2Go and Hovercams

Virtual Attendance Option Available
PTI: An Evening of Technology is offering a live virtual attendance. This is a great alternative for those who are unable to travel to the Clarkston campus. Participants will be able to log in from their home, office or wherever they are and join available sessions.
