Chalk & Wire

Chalk & Wire is a portfolio submission tool currently used for students graduating in Georgia State’s English department. A flexible and easy to use tool, Chalk & Wire allows faculty members to review and asses submitted student work.

Domain of One’s Own

Domain of One’s Own allows faculty to incorporate a digital space for coursework into their course. Domain of One’s Own also gives students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to create a digital presence through various digital mediums such as blogs, archives, and wikis using apps like WordPress, Omeka, and Scalar. Each user will have the opportunity to author and administer his or her own website, and have the option to take their websites with them after leaving Georgia State.

Other schools that have launched a Domain of One’s Own project include the University of Oklahoma, Emory, and the University of Mary Washington.

Adaptive Courseware

Acrobatiq

Acrobatiq is an adaptive learning platform based on cognitive science and educational theory. The interactive and adaptive learning program supports an instructor’s unique approach to teaching, and adapts to match a students’ individual knowledge and skill level.

Cogbooks

Cogbooks is an adaptive learning platform that works to minimize the time you spend managing students and maximizes their preparedness for class. Cogbooks sets itself ahead of static text books and aims for greater student success and significantly lower dropout.
