Take an iCollege Exam Using ProctorU

This document describes how to schedule to take an iCollege exam as a student using ProctorU.

iCollege Exams in ProctorU

Scheduling an Exam

  1. Log in to iCollege with your CampusID and CampusID Password.
  2. Click the Assessments dropdown and select ProctorU.
  3. If this is your first time using ProctorU, click No in the Do you have a ProctorU account? window.
  4. Under the Create Account window:
    NOTE: ProctorU may request access to your webcamera. This is for use in taking a snapshot for your profile.
    1. Ensure your institution says Georgia State University

    3. Enter your First and Last name

    5. Enter your Student Email Address
    6. Create and enter a ProctorU password

    8. For Timezone enter (GMT -05:00) US/Eastern

    10. Enter at least one phone number under Contact

    12. Enter your Address

    14. If you allowed ProctorU access to your webcamera, pose and click Take a Snapshot to take a picture for your account.

    16. Check the Box to agree to the Terms of Service
    17. When finished, click Create Account

  5. A confirmation email will be sent to your student email. You will have three (3) days to confirm your student email before your ProctorU account becomes temporarily locked until you confirm.

Take a ProctorU Proctored Exam

  1. Click the Assessments dropdown and select ProctorU.
  2. Log in with your Campus email address and the ProctorU password you created.
  3. In your account window:
    1. Click Test Equipment to run through prompts in order to ensure your computer’s equipment is compatible with ProctorU. You should complete this test before taking an exam.
    2. Click Schedule New Session and follow the prompts to select and register for a time to take your Instructor’s exam.

  4. On the day of your exam appointment, ensure you have a quiet testing environment, and a governemnt-issued ID, and log in to ProctorU.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your ProctorU Proctor form your exam time
  6. The Proctor will guide you through the set up process before the exam begins.
  7. As you take your exam, the Proctor will monitor you and report any violations to your instructor. At the end of the exam, you may submit feedback on your experience.
